Since May 8th, 2009 I have been on summer break from classes. I took the opportunity to properly break in my newly acquired (Jan. 09) PlayStation 3. This summer has been filled with many hours of gaming, and came to a close on August 19th, 2009. Today, I have shipped off my PS3 to return home as I myself will be flying back on Sunday.
I thought it would be nice to gather some facts regarding my various gaming sessions this summer to share with other GamerDNA users. (And, admittedly, this also serves as a sort of "progress report" for myself.)

The following is a list of major (and sometimes minor) gaming accomplishments, achievements, etc. from this summer. (In rough chronological order.)

Finished BioShock
Finished Devil May Cry 4
Started and finished Metal Gear Solid 4
Started and finished Far Cry 2
Completed Skate 2 - 100% Trophies - 1st Platinum Trophy
Started Killzone 2 single player campaign (stopped during final mission) + achieved multiplayer rank "General"
Started Grand Theft Auto IV
Started Eternal Sonata (30+ hours in)
Aced all LittleBigPlanet story levels + acquired 100% prizes
Completed Wipeout HD campaign (100% novice gold medals) + Fury expansion campaign (100% novice gold medals)
Completed all MotorStorm: Pacific Rift Festival races (81/96 gold medals)

I am now Trophy Level 7 (62%), with a total of 373 trophies. Below are my totals for trophies acquired between May 8th and August 19th.

Bronze: 169
Silver: 17
Gold: 7
Platinum: 1
Total: 194(/373 = 52%)

Outside of the accomplishments within games themselves, I've also met a lot of other gamers this summer. I have GamerDNA to thank for that. I also thank all of you for being a part of the adventure, and allowing me to - in some way or another - take you along for the ride. You all only caught the end of it, but I appreciate the company nonetheless.
I look forward to continuing the gaming activities, so never fret - I will be back at it next week, albeit at a slightly lower frequency.

It began with BioShock and ended with MotorStorm: Pacific Rift. (And continues next week with inFamous... and Uncharted (again)... and Dead Space... and...)

Thanks for the post! Glad that we could be apart of the journey... thanks for being a part of our journey as well. Hopefully you will like the new site after Wed and the PSN support! :)
Pretty impressive (and cool of you to share). You should add me on PSN -- my name's TheSmokingManX on there. I think you're dominating me in the Trophies department -- certainly in Platinums, of which I have none.
@ChangeAgent You know it! Very excited about the new stuff.
@TheSmokingManX Go ahead and add me (grumblybear) as I won't be on my PS3 until Tuesday or so.
That is some insane gaming dude. I'm glad that you're on my PSN your not some d-bag like most guys on Xbox Live but someone that likes games for the experience and not the dominance and competition. I'll take my Playstation Loyalist trophy now.
Yowza! That's one prolific summer of gaming... and all (what seem to be) top notch games. With PSN integration and some new profile game specific redesigned pages coming... I can see your gamerDNA profile starting fire from all the activity and viewers.

I'd like to 3rd @ChangeAgent and @TheSmokingManX in saying... thanks for sharing. Very cool.
@NCRAM88 @alphadoque Thanks for the words! I'm glad people are interested!

I look forward to more gaming activities from all of you.
Since we became friends on GamerDNA, I've been impressed by your gaming activity on here and a little jealous as I seem to always have something else to do! But reading your post has made me determined to get stuck into my backlog of games! I'll have to aim for a winter of gaming! Great post grumblybear and well done on your gaming achievement and your trophies! What did you get the platinum in, LittleBigPlanet?
Please add me to your PSN friends, my PSN name is LuckyLuxy
Look forward to your future updates!
@LuckyLuxy Thanks! Don't be too jealous, though. Classes start next week, so I won't be able to sit around ALL day and play video games. For shame! I won't have access to my PS3 until around Tuesday, so if you'd like feel free to add me (grumblybear) on PSN. I'll be sure to accept as soon as I get back to it.
Nice work sir! as had been echoed by @alphadoque and @changeagent, this is the kind of post we love to see here at gamerDNA. We are all avid gamers, and we really love it when people share about what they have been playing, both for posterity and for themselves.

I also want to say thanks to YOU for sticking with US while we navigate the treacherous waters of Internet Startups, new technologies, and social networks. We've certainly had our share of downtimes, slow times, and feature false-starts, but I think with the help of folks like you, we have been honing in on what we can do to make this site the place for gaming and gaming conversations.

We have been hard at work on a new deployment (should launch on Tuesday) and we had to scramble last minute to get in PSN data, but we are siked to do so, and you are the reason why. Finally PSN players can get some of the automation loving that only PC and XBOX players had on our site previously.

So thanks again, great post, and I hope you get lots more gaming in during the coming months!
Ooooo!! Very nice! Kudos to you :D That's one epic list of gaming accomplishments!
Nice! Glad you've had some fun here at gamerDNA - There should be more to come! :)
Well done on the accomplishments!Well we got the ps3 during the same time-frame!
Nice to hear about all the gaming going on :D I got my PS3 in November 2007 and have been playing nearly every day since - People say I should get a life, but hey..I know a cheat to get 100 ;)
Kudos, good sir. That is quite a deal of summer gaming.
