So I've been keeping a list of some of the new Playstation 3 games coming out this year. A couple of these games have already been pushed to 2010, but honestly I'm kind of welcoming the delays. There are just too many games to handle.
I'll list the games I'm either definitely getting, likely to get, might get, or just interested in. I've been trying to keep track of release dates, so I'll include those if I have them. (If anyone knows of a contrary release date, let me know!)

Batman: Arkham Asylum (8/25/09) ***

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (9/29/09) ****

Demon's Souls (10/6/09) *****
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (10/13/09) *****
Brutal Legend (10/13/09) ***
Fallout 3 GOTY ****

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (11/10/09) **
Assassin's Creed II (11/17/09) ****

Q4 2009:
Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time ****

The asterisks serve as a rough indication of how likely I am to make the purchase, or how interested I am in the game. Five asterisks means I'm definitely getting the game.

So, what are you looking forward to? The same titles? Any others? Let's hear about them!

"White Knight Chronicles" - has my attention. Don't know how likely I'll be to buying it.
"DC Universe Online" - Interested because it's an MMO for PS3
"Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2" - loved the first game, but I WON'T be buying this simply because I'm currently angry with Activision about their mistreatment of the devs behind Brutal Legend.
White Knight Chronicles is on my list, but that's currently TBA 2010.

As for Activision, I haven't been very happy with them lately. It's funny, people used to hate on EA a lot. Now it seems the tables are turning.
You know.. I wouldn't have much of a hate-on for Activision if they'd just stop being a bunch of DICKS. And maybe releasing something actually GOOD, and not just another crap, half-baked, rushed-to-retail sequel to one of their other tired IP's that desperately needs to be retired. End/rant.. Sorry.. That kinda popped out of me.. *^_^*
While I welcome the delays as well it seems that many publishers are just pushing to January. So now instead of November and December being super hellish it's now December and January. They need to spread the titles not just push the date of the game release surplus.
Well they pushed Bayonetta to January to avoid competition. I'm sure they were specifically thinking of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. BioShock 2 has been pushed to 2010 (I think early 2010?), but that's due to further polish, etc.

Right now, you can see October is going to be fairly crazy for me.
On top of that, I've still got current games to play through in the next month or so. I want to replay Uncharted, and I've yet to start Dead Space or inFamous. I haven't even picked up Red Faction: Guerrilla or the expansions for Burnout Paradise.
Right when I have to start my last semester of college - perfect timing.
Man that sucks. sounds like you need to get to that backlog. I've been working through mine. I have to play Dead Space I want to play Uncharted again and I need to finish Dark Sector for Goozex. Not to mention all the PS2 games I need to play.

I've downloaded the big surf Island for Burnout and Have loved just driving around but now I have to substitute that for Wipeout. I'm waiting for inFamous because games like that I would disappear for like a whole week just killing people and bringing them back to life.

But don't for get that God of War 3 in March with Darksiders January 1st and Dante's inferno. Then Singularity, Heavy Rain, MAG, and White Knight Chronicles.
Oh, of course. I've got a 2010 list as well, but I'll wait a couple months to post that. ;)
oh snap. well you definitely have everything in order. can't wait to see the post. :)
Here is my upcoming probably buy list..
WET - Sept 8 (waiting for Reviews)
Dark Void - September 22, 2009
Katamari Forever - Sept 30 2009
Operation Flash Point - Sept 30
Unchart2,- 13 October, 2009
Borderlands - Oct. 20th, 2009
Gran Turismo 5 - Nov 2009
Aven http://aven86.gamerdna.com/ bought the Asian version of Demon Souls. He stopped playing it because it was to hard. I assume they will tweak the U.S. version though.
Actually there were initial rumors that Atlus was going to lower Demon's Souls' difficulty for the North American release, but I'm almost 100% certain they haven't touched the difficulty and do not plan to. I'm hoping they don't mess with it. The difficulty is one of the appeals of the title.
But then it will only be like DMC or Metal Gear Solid where there is only a cult following in America compared to the Japanese sells. Maybe it could do something like DMC 3 where it had a special edition that is easier than the original and the original was set to the Japanese difficulty.
You missed MAG. It is probably a november release. The developers say it is definately in 2009.
Oh, I haven't really been into MAG. I'm just waiting to see how that pans out.
I don't think that can pull MAG off for multiple reasons.
@rgoff31 These being?
Connectivity issues, LAG/latency/PingTime Issues. Sacrificing Graphics to make up for the massive amount of stuff and people ingame. Side Balancing issues on servers and overall side imbalance issues. The biggest issue they wont even have any control over is the players. Having dozens of 8 man squads form up, staying together, staying on mission and trying to communicate seems close to impossible.
1. Lag/connectivity is apperently non-existant due to the server infrastructure.
2. the graphics are still good eneuph to compete.
3. there are 4 squads per team, actually and teh oic, PL, SL, etc. system would theoretically work.
4. Finnaly, it has the hook thet it's not just another fps. it bring many new things to the genre that others don't have
5. youre avatar is stupid.
5. Thanks for not making it personal or anything. Classy
1-4. thanks for not providing meaningfull feedback.
5. Srry but it really is.
His avatar is cool... "Don't Panic" In big friendly letters. Incredibly useful advice when hitch hiking through deep space. If MAG does work it's gonna MW2 a run for its money.

On the subject of "Demon Souls" I hope it is difficult, tis what we call a "learning curve". You want it to be easier... Ha! wat kinda weak ass gamer is you? I'm kinda gettin fed up of beating games within three days. I dont even like the "easy" mode on games. It's meant to be a challenge or what's the point?! Just get with the program and get good at games or do somethin less taxing like bakery classes or somethin. Heh ^_^
Was talking about his old avatar, i think it was him with a cowboy hat or something...

I'm actually playing demon's souls now too, it is amazing :)
